Champagne Henriot Lunch - SOLD OUT

With cellar master Alice Tétienne

Founded in 1808 by the forward-thinking and enterprising Apolline Henriot, this prestigious and historic house saw immediate success, both in France and abroad in the royal courts of the Netherlands and Austria-Hungary. Henriot is today one of the few remaining family-owned Champagne houses, and its independence has allowed it to continue to pour all of its focus into the quality of its Champagnes. Apolline wanted to illuminate her beloved vineyards through a great Champagne and developed a unique savoir-faire. Her vision and legacy are carried on, both in the vineyards and the cellar, by cellar master Alice Tétienne, who joined the house in 2020 following accomplished stints at Krug and Nicolas Feuillatte.

Alice will be presenting seven of Henriot’s finest wines, many from rare large formats and the newest limited release of the house, L’Inattendue (The Unexpected) at this exclusive lunch.

Today, Rodolphe holds 18 hectares of vineyards, predominantly in the Grand Cru of Les Mesnil-sur-Oger, and is heralded as a master of the Chardonnay grape and Blanc de Blancs Champagne. This tasting and seminar will cover the particularities of the Côte des Blancs subregion of Champagne, the art of blending reserve wines, and Rodolphe’s philosophy of single-vineyard special cuvées, specifically his renowned cuvées Les Chétillons and Les Montjolys.

Champagne Salon and Champagne Delamotte Dinner - SOLD OUT

With export director Cristian Rimoldi

Champagne Salon is described by Peter Liem as a “jewel of a house… unique in Champagne in that it has always only produced a single wine, made from a single village, grape variety and vintage,” while sister house Delamotte has been producing renowned wines from the Côte des Blancs since the 18th century. Salon is among the rarest of all Champagnes. This Blanc de Blancs (100% Chardonnay) comes from a tiny, one-hectare “garden” located in the heart of the Grand Cru vineyard, Le Mesnil sur Oger. The policy of Champagne Salon is to only release a vintage Champagne from the best years. The most recent release, Salon 2012, marks the 43rd vintage release since its creation in 1905.

This dinner highlights Le Mesnil Chardonnay at some of its most pure and dazzling heights. Cristian Rimoldi, export director of both Salon and Delamotte, will be in attendance to present some of these sister houses’ greatest vintages.
