The Boca Raton had much to celebrate in early 2026, including its significant designation of becoming the only Forbes Quadruple Five-Star Resort in all of the Americas. The Five-Star accolades include recognition for Beach Club, Spa Palmera, Yacht Club, and Flybridge restaurant. Here, we speak with Daniel Hostettler about the momentous feat and how these awards will propel The Boca Raton into the future.

How important was earning quadruple Five-Star recognition from Forbes Travel Guide for The Boca Raton?  In a business that is service-driven, it’s a great validation of the team and how well they work. High-quality service is a significant part of receiving the Forbes Five Stars, which speaks to the commitment to training, company culture, and the creation of experiences for guests. It is hugely meaningful to the team that comes to work every day. They are the ones who are here on the holidays and graveyard shifts. This is more than a job to them; it’s a calling. It’s a passion.

What details might guests not even realize are part of delivering a Five-Star experience?  The Five-Star designation has a tremendous amount of timing standards: How long it takes for breakfast to be delivered to your room, how long are you waiting at valet, things like that. These details might not be anything the guest naturally sees, but it might be something they feel. I think that’s probably a hidden concept that guests don’t naturally know but is extremely important to achieving Five-Star recognition.

 How do you keep raising the bar when The Boca Raton is already among the top resorts in the world?  We are in the process of rewriting our vision statement, which currently states our goal of becoming one of the best resorts in the world. Now that we have achieved that, it is time we rethink our vision statement to better reflect where we are now and what we are looking to achieve at this point of our legendary history.
