The Next Chapter

At the Boca Raton, reinvention is in full swing. The way it’s viewed here, reinvention isn’t just a makeover; it’s a bold new chapter filled with standards that redefine— and oftentimes reengage—how we experience a destination. 

The resort and Club’s multitude of investments in 2026 reflect ownership BDT & MSD Partners’ continued commitment to preserving the property’s legacy, while ushering in a new sense of modern elegance for today’s traveler. On the heels of The Boca Raton’s evolution in recent years—including the transformation of Harborside and its Tower hotel, and the full reimagination of Beach Club—the next phase of enhancements is especially meaningful as the property begins its new century. From updating guest rooms at Cloister hotel and redesigning the golf course to updating Mizner Center’s meeting spaces and planning a new Fitness Center, every corner of The Boca Raton will feel re-envisioned yet perfectly placed. 

 Another exciting transformation involves the golf course. The reimagination will thoughtfully restore the beloved course back to its vintage roots, celebrating and highlighting the timeless design principles originally established by renowned golf course architect Donald Ross in 1926. The project will reintroduce the classic strategic elements, natural contours, and traditional playing characteristics that defined Ross’ vision, ensuring the course once again reflects the charm, challenge, and authenticity that made it special nearly a century ago.  

Club member feedback played a central role in shaping the vision for the golf course renovation. A desire for more consistent, high-quality playing conditions, along with a layout that offers greater challenges while remaining enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels, were key comments that members had. Just as importantly, members emphasized a preference for a more classic style of design, one devoid of overly “tricked-out” features in favor of thoughtful strategy and timeless architectural principles.

Meeting and event attendees will soon notice a striking refresh of Mizner Center, the 80,000-square-foot space that is the heart of The Boca Raton’s event landscape. This next chapter for Mizner Center will feature brighter, bolder, and even more memorable events. Led by celebrated architecture and design firm Rockwell Group—which has enhanced other spaces at The Boca Raton, including Tower and the brand-new The Game Room—the project includes painting the porte cochère in coastal white, which will set the tone upon arrival. 

All areas of Mizner Center will be renewed, from pre-function spaces to the Grand Ballroom and Royal Palm Ballroom. Lighter finishes, custom chandeliers and sconces, and updated furnishings will create an inviting atmosphere that is complemented by rich materials—stone, leather, textured fabrics, and antique mirror finishes—to add depth and dimension. Soft neutrals will be layered with accents of emerald, teal, and ocean blue, subtly reflecting South Florida’s landscape.
