New Water Adventures for the Whole Family - Make A Splash This Season

As The Boca Raton continues to enhance programming, waterside and on-the-water activities are highlights for those looking to experience an elevated sense of leisure. At Harborside Pool Club, in addition to the lazy river that snakes around lush tropical foliage, the three pools, water slides and a kids’ area (complete with a replica pirate ship!), more amenities will be unveiled this season.

Three new features opening this winter at Harborside Pool Club are the FlowRider surf simulator, The Break tween center and kiddie cabanas. Simulating an actual surfing experience, the FlowRider welcomes all levels, including beginners. Participants are encouraged to ride the waves in a social atmosphere as friends and family members stand nearby to cheer on. And the best part? The surf is always up.

Just next door along Lake Boca Raton’s promenade, The Break is a parent-free zone that caters to tweens and will feature a mocktail bar as well as a “candy wall” (with handy dispensers!) to satisfy even the sweetest tooth. Tweens can enjoy their candy or mocktail on the expansive outdoor covered patio, with views of the FlowRider in action from their elevated vantage point. The Break will also be home to plenty of indoor fun and programming. A virtual reality gaming center, 360-degree TikTok booth and a podcast booth round out the interactive offerings inside the nearly 1,000-square-foot facility.

Harborside Pool Club continues to cater to its youngest pool-goers with brand-new kiddie cabanas: four themed cabanas that have everything a toddler and preschooler would love. A riff on the family poolside cabanas, these versions at the splash zone area will include themes like princess parties, which include royal costumes, and chef shows, which feature a full play kitchen.

“We’re looking to reposition the property as a leisure destination for members and guests,” says Daniel Hostettler, President and CEO of The Boca Raton. “We’ll offer one thousand and one things to do at The Boca Raton that kids and parents will be drawn to.”

For those seeking to take advantage of the lake and Intracoastal, water sport and activity rentals will be available at the water sports center at the base of Tower. There, members and guests can rent stand-up paddleboards and pedal kayaks, take sailing lessons on a Hobie Cat and even take out a Boston Whaler for the day.

Also launching this season is Relentless, a 42-foot classic cruising yacht that is outfitted with new teak and brass accents. Able to accommodate up to 12 people, Relentless expands experiences under A New Golden Era at The Boca Raton as a modern version of a classic lobster boat, turning the traditionally working vessel into an elegant craft for entertaining.

Captained cruises offer an array of possibilities, from sun- set excursions along the Intracoastal to anchoring at Lake Boca Raton for a picnic and a stand-up paddleboard experience, or docking at Principessa Ristorante for an oysters and drink pairing, and then ending the night with an Italian dinner at the restaurant.
